Let’s talk

ABOUT US

The farmers will be trained on proper management and feeding of the chicks till they are mature. We will provide feeds, medication and technical support throughout the pilot phase. Each family provided with 50 chicks will then be required to give back 10 eggs per chick received as soon as the hens starts laying.

The 10 eggs collected from each family will be incubated and again the chicks distributed to more community members in the County. In the end, each family will have enough hens producing eggs that they can either sell to us or hire our machine to incubate their eggs at a small fee thereby immensely increasing the population of the indigenous chicken and also improving the income and food security of the rural folks.

Our project is targeted at the over 2 million rural Kenyan families compost mostly of peasant farmers who live below a dollar a day, have no connection to national power grid, no medical insurance, hardly gets three meals a day and balanced diet is a myth.

Our agenda is to empower these families through the provision of two week old indigenous chicks where each family will be provided with 50 chicks and thereafter, they will be required to give back 10 eggs per every chick given thereby creating opportunity for more families to be uplifted out of poverty and malnutrition.
